Too hot even for swimming!

So the past few days here in 'HOTLANTA' have been just that, HOT! It has been in the mid nineties and with the humidity it makes it at least one hundred. Ouch! Sometimes the heat here is suffocating. You step outside and the heat and humidity literally make it suffocating. The kids and I have been spending as much time as possible at the pool. We were there for about four hours a few days ago and even with putting on SPF 50 sunscreen on four times, the kids and I still got sunburned. The next day we skipped the pool because it was even too hot to swim. But don't worry we were right back out there yesterday. The kids have even made a little friend, she is probably eight and plays really well with the kids. They sure do love having other kids to play with other than each other.

Nic is getting so daring. He jumps right in. He has even started to take his floaties off and swim without them. He can't go very far because he hasn't quite grasped the concept of coming up for air. But he can go probably four feet just swimming under the water. It is really cute!

Gracie is a lot more laid back and careful. She would rather stick to the shallow parts and do just as she pleases. When I do pull her out into the deeper areas with me she holds onto me with a death grip. She doesn't want to put her floaties on and venture out at all, which is funny because the past two summers she has been a fish. She has since I can remember always loved the water and not been afraid to put on her floaties and go for it all by herself. In her older age she is becoming a bit more reserved and careful. She is so dang cute!
